James is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Virginia School of Law. After law school, he began his legal career as a corporate attorney at White & Case LLP, where he advised on high-value international finance and M&A transactions. He later left “Big Law” to launch Milton’s Local, a venture-backed sustainable meat company that grew to secure distribution in major retailers nationwide.
James’ practice focuses on Business and Securities law, providing strategic counsel to asset managers, private equity firms, and emerging growth companies. He has extensive experience in venture financings, fund formations, M&A, and corporate governance. His unique background as both an entrepreneur and legal advisor allows him to provide clients with business-minded solutions to complex legal challenges.
James is actively involved in economic development initiatives and serves as a board member and mentor for various organizations supporting entrepreneurship. He is admitted to practice in Maryland, New York, and Florida and speaks both English and Spanish.
