M. James Faison
James is a graduate of Harvard University and the University of Virginia School of Law. After law school he worked as a corporate attorney at the global law firm of White & Case LLP. He left “Big Law” to launch an award-winning sustainable meat company, Milton’s Local. He has worked as in-house counsel at both public companies, and venture-backed startups.
James’ practice focuses on finance, startup/venture, real estate, non-profit and general corporate work. He represents a number of asset managers, technology, agriculture, CPG and tax-exempt companies with their business needs. He is sought after for his ability to provide excellent legal representation, while also having the business experience as a former small business owner and entrepreneur, to help clients address the legal issues that really matter.
James is a volunteer with the Maryland Volunteer Lawyers Service. He is barred in Maryland, New York and Florida, and speaks both English and Spanish.
